Please note that the following information is provided to serve as a resource for undergraduate and graduate students seeking internships. The Kellogg Institute does not provide funding for these internships.

Academy for Educational Development (Paid and Unpaid) Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students.

Bank Information Center (Unpaid and stipends) Summer and academic year internships are available. Positions may be available in Africa, Asia, and/or Latin America. Monthly stipends are available for some internships.

Center for International Policy (Paid and Unpaid) Internships available for recent graduates.

Connect 123 (Unpaid) Internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students. Fees are required.

Council of the Americas (Paid) Internships may be available relating to Latin America.

Council on Hemispheric Affairs (Unpaid) Internships for graduate and undergraduate students are offered. The non-profit is a non-partisan national research and information organization that offers internships in the fields of US, Latin American and Canadian relations.

Foreign Policy Association (Paid and unpaid) Internships are available for both graduate and undergraduate students.

Human Rights Watch (Paid and Unpaid) Undergraduate internships are available in New York, London, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Brussels, and Berlin offices. While most internships are unpaid, students can receive funding through the Everett Public Service Summer Internship Program. The deadline for applications is mid-March.

Inter-American Dialogue (Unpaid) Internships are available throughout the year for graduate and undergraduates who work in the social sciences on Latin America.

Intern Abroad Intern Abroad is a website that helps students find jobs, volunteer positions and internships in countries throughout the world.

International Center for Transitional Justice – Internships in various parts of the world are available for graduate and undergraduate students.

Latin American Working Group (Unpaid) The Latin American Working Group seeks interns year round to assist with advocacy efforts.

National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (Paid) Various internships are available during the summer for graduate and undergraduate students interested in working on Latin American issues.

Rising Star Internships This site is a search engine for students to find available internships.

Scoville Peace Fellowships (Paid) Apply during the senior year for 6 month fellowships to be used upon graduation

Students Partnership Worldwide (Unpaid) Volunteer development positions available in India, Nepal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Students generally leave in January or February and stay about eight months.

Uganda Village Concept Project (Paid) Offers long-term and short-term internships for students and professionals interested in helping to improve community health in Uganda.

UN Volunteers (Unpaid) Volunteer and internship positions are available around the world. Opportunities are available for students and recent graduates.

US AID Sub-Saharan Africa (Paid) Application deadline for these internships is in February. Students may apply during their junior and senior years and must be American citizens.

US Embassy Foreign Agricultural Service’s International Internship Program – 90 locations worldwide (Paid) Internships are available to graduate students and upperclassmen (juniors and seniors). Through work assignments, participants learn various aspects of international trade, trade policy, international relations, diplomacy, regional and cultural considerations, etc. Positions are available at the US Embassy in Western Europe, Latin America and Asia. Application deadlines for the summer are normally in February.
